Post BMR lower A arm bent
some of the pics are a bit blurry, my apologies. The shock mount bent.

The shock hasn't bottomed out, I've not ran over any curbs. I've had them for 3-4 years and I've maybe put 6500 miles on the car.

I contacted BMR, sent them pictures and they didn't seem surprised. they replied that they now send out 1/2 in aluminum plates with all their lower A arms to reinforce the shock mount. It's made out of 6061 T6 and is listed here http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-bodySuspension.htm as a QA1 shock spacer. They sent me a set free of charge. I was advised to bend the shock mount back and install the plates and the arms would be more than adequate.

I talked to few engineers and they said they failed because it's a poor design. I have no faith in these arm. If anyone wants them I well sell them very cheap, use at your own risk.

shoot me a PM and make an offer.
Basically everything has about 6500 miles, balljoint, rodend, poly bushing, the powdercoat is mostly intact.

Post Re: BMR lower A arm bent
was looking over the site and noticed I never updated my own thread!

the BMR A arms were sold. I ended up grabbing a pair of stock arms and sending them off to alan blaine to tig in the global west solid bearing kit.

I ended up with these...

I've ran around with it like this for awhile now, it's no more harsh than the BMR arms it replaced, overall the car feels good. the A arm change may or may not have anything to do with this since the tires and wheels were changed at the same time.
